Every tool on Plaintools runs entirely in your browser. No uploads. No accounts. No tracking. Your files and data never leave your device.
Most free tools are free because you are the product. Your files get uploaded, logged, analyzed. Your behavior gets tracked. Ads get served. That's the deal — and it's rarely disclosed clearly.
Plaintools works differently. Every tool runs entirely in your browser using your device's own computing power. We never see your files, your inputs, or your conversions. We couldn't even if we wanted to.
That's not a policy. It's how the tools are built.
Data stays on your device because our tools have no server to send it to. Local processing isn't a feature — it's the whole design.
We don't cap file sizes or conversion counts to force upgrades. The tool works the same whether you convert one file or five hundred.
Once the page loads, disconnect from the internet. Everything keeps working. Only possible because nothing depends on our servers.
We tell you when output should be verified. We don't pretend AI results are perfect. Trust is built on honesty, not false confidence.

"Plaintools exists because good tools should work for you — not harvest you. Everything here runs in your browser, costs nothing, and asks nothing in return."
We built this because we were tired of pasting files into tools that upload them to servers we can't see. Tired of needing accounts to use a converter. Tired of ads on pages that should just work. So we built the alternative — and made it free.
Every tool on Plaintools is free in the browser — always. But if you want a tool permanently on your computer, works with no internet, ever — you can own it for $4.99. Once.
Minor improvements and fixes come free. If a major new version significantly expands what the tool can do, existing customers pay an upgrade price — never full price. You always get credit for what you already paid. That's the whole policy. No fine print.
